It Is Disrespectful” — Keyamo Blasts Atiku Over Calling Tinubu ‘Bola

According to Ireporter Online, Keyamo argued that political differences should not diminish the dignity associated with the office of the President.

In a post on X, the minister described Atiku’s manner of addressing Tinubu as disrespectful and urged political opponents to maintain decorum when referring to the occupant of the nation’s highest office.

Keyamo also commented on the tone of Atiku’s remarks at the press conference, describing them as reflecting what he characterised as personal bitterness.

The minister further pointed to Atiku’s previous comments concerning the ages of the two politicians, arguing that referring to Tinubu by his first name was inconsistent with his own description of the President as older.

Atiku’s remarks came during a press conference where he called on the Tinubu administration to consider his proposal for government intervention aimed at reducing the price of petrol.

The ADC presidential candidate said the administration could adopt the proposal, give it a different name and take credit for the initiative if the move would ultimately make petrol more affordable for Nigerians.

Atiku also called for broader measures to address the rising cost of living, arguing that palliative measures alone would not adequately tackle the economic challenges confronting citizens.

The exchange between the two political camps adds to the growing political debate surrounding the Tinubu administration and opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.
