2027: Falz Urges Nigerians To Rise, Says “We Are Not Angry Enough

Nigerian singer, actor and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has urged Nigerians to become more actively involved in the country’s political process ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that voting remains a powerful means of demanding accountability from leaders.

According to Ireporter Online, Falz made the call during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time, where he encouraged citizens to pay closer attention to political developments and take responsibility for shaping the nation’s future.

The entertainer expressed concern that many Nigerians have become less responsive to issues affecting the country, urging citizens to develop a stronger desire for change and demand better governance.

Falz stated that Nigerians need to show greater concern about national affairs, noting that criticism of political leaders should also be accompanied by personal commitment from citizens toward improving the system.

He explained that while people often speak against poor leadership and hold public officials accountable, they must also examine their own roles in ensuring democratic progress.

The activist identified first-time voters as a crucial group that could significantly influence the outcome of the 2027 elections, urging eligible young Nigerians to register and participate actively in the electoral process.

According to him, the increasing number of young voters presents an opportunity for citizens to make their voices heard and play a decisive role in determining the country’s political direction.

Falz also challenged the widely held belief that election outcomes are already decided and that individual votes have little impact, arguing that the efforts made by politicians to influence voters demonstrate the importance of every ballot.

He noted that issues such as vote buying and attempts to sway electoral outcomes would not exist if votes had no significance.

The entertainer further stated that a large turnout of citizens supporting a particular choice could make it more difficult for electoral processes to be manipulated.

Falz called on Nigerians, especially young people and first-time voters, to obtain their voter cards and prepare to participate fully in the 2027 elections, stressing that active civic engagement is necessary for achieving meaningful political change.
