Breaking: Nigerian Air Force To Expand Fleet With 50 New Aircraft By 2026The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has announced that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is set to acquire 50 new aircraft between December 2024 and 2026. Abubakar highlighted that over the past year, NAF successfully added 12 aircraft to its fleet, marking a significant achievement for the service, which had not experienced such a milestone in many years.

He made this disclosure during the second biannual meeting with Branch Chiefs and Air Officers in Abuja on Thursday. The CAS described these times as exciting and challenging, requiring innovative thinking, resilience, and dedication.

Abubakar urged officers and personnel to uphold high standards of professionalism, integrity, and loyalty, as they continue to support NAF’s overall mission. Reflecting on NAF’s progress, he noted that the service recently celebrated its 60th anniversary, a milestone that has ushered in a transformative period for the force.

He expressed confidence in the leadership of NAF, assuring that the men and women in the force will excel in their duties and contribute to the ongoing transformation.
