Speaking through a statement in Abuja on Friday, Abure criticized Otti’s recent remarks where he insisted he was still part of the LP, despite his clear involvement with the caretaker committee led by Nenadi Usman and supported by Peter Obi, which has formally merged with the ADC.

Abure questioned Otti’s loyalty, pointing out that the governor recently conducted local government elections in Abia State using the Zenith Labour Party, contradicting his professed commitment to LP. He also accused Otti of financing an “illegal caretaker committee” now fully absorbed into the ADC.

“We are astonished that Governor Otti continues to portray himself as a member of the Labour Party. Nigerians are not ignorant. He was suspended indefinitely for his anti-party activities. It is baffling that he still tries to deceive our members,” Abure said.
