Bala Na’Allah: ‘No Party Has Ever Served Nigerians Better Than APC
A senior All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Bala Na’Allah, has asserted that the ruling party holds the best intentions for Nigerians, distinguishing it from other political formations.
According to Ireporter Online, Na’Allah made the comments while addressing the recent wave of defections by state governors into the APC. The governors of Kano State, Abba Yusuf; Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang; and Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, officially joined the party following a series of defections from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Na’Allah emphasized that while defections may increase the APC’s numbers, they do not automatically guarantee success in the 2027 general elections. He stressed the importance of convincing Nigerians that the party’s initiatives are aimed at positioning the country for a brighter future.
“The APC has to work to seriously convince the people that whatever they are going through is reasonably necessary for the purpose of positioning the country for a greater future,” Na’Allah said. He added, “I can conveniently say that no party was formed and came with the best intentions for Nigeria better than the APC.”
Na’Allah also reflected on the party’s early days, noting that APC emerged as a small group committed to providing Nigerians with governance that PDP had failed to deliver. “These defections we are talking about involve people in positions of authority in their states. To a larger extent, what they achieve locally will determine their followership,” he said.
