Blaze Destroys Eco Fitness Center In Abuja, No Injuries Reported

The fire, which started around 10:00 am, prompted emergency services to rush to the scene in an attempt to contain the blaze. Although the fire has been extinguished, a large portion of the building was severely damaged.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown at the time of this report.

This incident follows a fire that destroyed the private residence of the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Mariya Mahmoud, just one day earlier. The blaze, which occurred at her Asokoro residence on Sunday afternoon, completely ravaged the house, with nothing left to salvage. The slow response of firefighters and the cause of the fire remain under investigation.

Additionally, a fire in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Saturday morning destroyed 25 shops near the Adeta roundabout. The Kwara State Fire Service was able to prevent further damage, with only three shops affected. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was caused by a power surge.
