His son, Muslihu, announced his demise in a Facebook post on Sunday night.

Born in 1950 in Gaya town, Kano State, the late scholar embarked on his legal career in 1974 as a Sharia court scribe.

He progressed through various positions, ultimately attaining the roles of chief clerk, assistant registrar, registrar, Upper Sharia Court judge, and director at the Upper Sharia Court.

He retired in 2009 but remained dedicated to imparting Islamic teachings and providing spiritual guidance and healing.

His death comes amid recent criticisms of Islamic cleric and scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi over his attack on minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike.
