is most significant in the health and education sectors.
Liman shared an example from a local hospital, where 22 health workers were listed on the payroll, but only two were verified as legitimate employees. He emphasized that a verification exercise is currently underway to address the issue.
The HoS assured that the verification process would be completed by the end of November 2024, after which a salary committee will be formed. Additionally, the current administration inherited unresolved matters from the previous government, including issues related to the 2019 minimum wage implementation.
Once the verification and salary committees submit their findings, the state government plans to implement the new minimum wage of N70,000. However, Liman clarified that this could not proceed without first confirming the accurate number of civil servants in Zamfara.
