Fast-Track Fix: Okpebholo Orders Contractors To Resume Work Within 24 Hours of Swearing-In

In his inaugural speech, Okpebholo outlined his five-point agenda, which includes Security, Infrastructure and Road Development, Affordable Healthcare, Water and Food Sufficiency, and Value-Driven Education. He emphasized that these initiatives aim to drive economic growth and improve the living standards of Edo citizens.
The governor issued the directive during an inspection of the Upper Mission Extension Road near Aduwawa Junction and the Ramat Park area in Benin City. Okpebholo, aligning his administration with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, expressed his commitment to restoring hope and improving the state’s infrastructure.
“We have no time to waste,” Okpebholo stated. “During the campaign, I promised to hit the ground running. This is the time to fix our roads, and we will begin immediately.”
Key projects to be addressed include the 7.5km Temboga Road, the Lucky Way Junction by Aduwawa, and the Ramat Park-Slope Axis. Additionally, work will start on Eyaen Road and the Obadan Junction along the Benin-Auchi Expressway.
The governor assured the people of Edo that his government will prioritize their needs, focusing on providing good, motorable roads and ensuring the delivery of democratic benefits.
