Insecurity Looms As 10,000 Are Displaced In FCT Demolition, Says VeryDarkMan

VeryDarkMan urged Wike to ensure the relocation of those displaced by the demolitions.

Wike had previously launched a task force, “Operation Sweep,” to demolish Ruga and other communities in the FCT, aiming to eliminate what he deemed to be nuisances and criminal activities.

In his defense, Wike stated that the demolitions were part of efforts to sanitize and enhance the security of the FCT, asserting that the government was focused on protecting lives and making Abuja one of the safest cities globally, regardless of any opposition or blackmail.

However, VeryDarkMan criticized the minister’s stance, sharing his thoughts on Instagram: “Dear Nyesom Wike, I wasn’t paid, and neither was Deji Adeyanju. I’m not trying to blackmail you. Please show some compassion, relocate those affected, and continue your development plans. What you’re doing now will have dire consequences for Abuja in the future. Thank you, sir.”
