An entrepreneur, Adekoya Ibukunoluwa, has instituted legal proceedings against Sandra Edoho over alleged defamatory Instagram posts that linked her to an alleged extramarital affair with popular broadcaster Frank Edoho.

According to court documents obtained by Ireporter Online, the lawsuit, filed through her lawyer and Managing Partner of FOLEGAL, Festus Ogun, seeks ₦100 million in damages over publications the claimant says damaged her reputation and subjected her to widespread online harassment.

In the memorandum of claim dated July 17, 2026, Adekoya accused Sandra, who is reportedly estranged from Frank Edoho, of libel, fraudulent misrepresentation and invasion of privacy in connection with posts allegedly published on the Instagram account, “vivibella_designs.”

The legal action, however, consists of allegations that have not been tested or determined by any court.

According to the claimant’s legal team, the dispute originated in October 2023 after Adekoya allegedly met Frank Edoho by chance at Hard Rock Café in Lekki, Lagos. The lawyers stated that the pair reportedly bonded over their support for Arsenal Football Club before exchanging contact information.

The memorandum further alleged that on November 19, 2023, Sandra unlawfully gained access to Frank Edoho’s WhatsApp account and, while allegedly impersonating him, invited Adekoya to the couple’s residence in Victoria Garden City, Lagos. The claimant claimed she was allegedly promised ₦10 million in exchange for simply honouring the invitation.

The legal team also alleged that Sandra later posed as Frank Edoho’s brother, personally picked up Adekoya and escorted her to the residence. Upon arrival, Adekoya claimed she was confined to a room while the broadcaster was asleep. According to the filing, Frank Edoho was later awakened and allegedly expressed surprise over suggestions that he was romantically involved with the entrepreneur before apologising to her over the incident.

The memorandum further alleged that following a marital crisis between Sandra and Frank Edoho in May 2026, Sandra embarked on what the claimant described as a calculated campaign to tarnish her image. The campaign allegedly involved the publication of Adekoya’s photograph, private WhatsApp conversations and a video on Instagram, portraying her as one of several women allegedly involved in relationships with the broadcaster.

Among the statements referenced in the lawsuit was an alleged Instagram post describing the claimant in derogatory terms. Adekoya’s legal team insisted the publications were false, malicious and misleading, arguing that they portrayed their client as a prostitute and a woman of questionable character.

The entrepreneur further alleged that the posts quickly spread across social media platforms and were republished by blogs and other online outlets, exposing her to cyberbullying, insults, harassment and public ridicule. She maintained that the publications violated her privacy and inflicted significant damage on both her personal and professional reputation.

As part of the reliefs sought, Adekoya is asking the court to declare the Instagram publication of May 19, 2026, false, malicious and defamatory. She is also seeking an order compelling Sandra Edoho to retract the posts, issue an unreserved public apology and refrain from making similar publications in the future.

In addition to the ₦100 million in damages and litigation costs being sought, the claimant also proposed an out-of-court settlement requiring Sandra Edoho to delete the alleged defamatory posts, publicly apologise, acknowledge the alleged impersonation of Frank Edoho and pay ₦20 million as compensation.

The claimant’s legal team has given Sandra Edoho seven days to respond in line with the Lagos State High Court Civil Procedure Rules 2019, warning that further legal action would follow if no response is received within the stipulated period.
