JAMB Releases Fresh Admission Update For 2026 Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a fresh advisory to candidates seeking admission for the 2026/2027 academic session, urging those who have received admission offers to promptly log into their profiles and either accept or reject the offers.

According to Ireporter Online, JAMB advised candidates to regularly monitor their admission status through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), noting that institutions may upload new admission offers at different times during the admission process.

Candidates who have been offered admission are required to take action on the CAPS platform by selecting either the “Accept Admission” or “Reject Admission” option.

To check their admission status, candidates are expected to log into their JAMB e-Facility accounts, navigate to the Admission Status section and access the CAPS platform to view any available offer.

The examination body also reminded candidates who are still awaiting their O’level results to upload the relevant results to their JAMB profiles as soon as they become available.

JAMB stressed that candidates whose required O’level results have not been uploaded and verified may not be considered for admission by institutions.

The board further noted that legitimate admissions from tertiary institutions must be processed through JAMB CAPS and reflected on candidates’ e-Facility profiles.

Candidates have consequently been encouraged to check their profiles frequently throughout the admission exercise to avoid missing important offers, deadlines or other updates.

The development comes as JAMB continues to strengthen its admission and verification systems, with academic results submitted through its platform subject to verification by the institutions responsible for awarding them.
