Obaseki Declares War On Civil Servants: Edo Rejects His Do-Or-Die Intimidation
Obaseki Declares War On Civil Servants: Edo Rejects His Do-Or-Die IntimidationIn a shocking display of desperation, Governor Godwin Obaseki has once again resorted to threatening the civil servants of Edo State, warning them that their jobs are at risk if they do not vote for the PDP.
His chilling declaration that the upcoming election is a “life and death situation” reveals just how far he is willing to go to cling to power, turning the democratic process into a personal battlefield.
Governor Obaseki, let us be clear: Edo State will not be held hostage by your fear tactics. This is not the Stone Age, where leaders could enslave their people for selfish gain. We are in the 21st century, and democracy thrives on values such as compassion, integrity, leadership, and transparency – qualities that you seem to have abandoned in your quest for power.
The civil servants of Edo State are not your pawns. They are hardworking citizens who deserve respect, not threats. What exactly have you done for these civil servants that makes you feel entitled to control their votes?
These are individuals who have seen your failures firsthand and now, out of desperation, you attempt to bully them into submission.
Your constant refrain that this election is a “do-or-die” affair shows the extent of your obsession with power. But let us remind you, Governor Obaseki: the people of Edo will not be intimidated. They will not be forced into voting for a party that has failed them repeatedly. They will make their choices based on their conscience, not on your coercive threats.
Edo is a state where the people are intelligent, resilient, and proud. They will not allow their futures to be dictated by fear. Obaseki must take a step back and recognize that he cannot continue to treat civil servants like slaves or subjects. This is a democracy, and the people’s will is paramount.
As the APC, we stand with the civil servants of Edo State and all citizens. We encourage them to exercise their democratic rights free from intimidation and harassment. Obaseki’s threats only expose his weaknesses and insecurities. It’s time for him to take a chill pill, focus on his legacy, and leave the people of Edo to make their decisions in peace.
Governor, elections are not a do-or-die affair. The people will speak through the ballot, and no amount of threats will change that.
