Oyo’s New Judges Given Call To Action By NBA: ‘Serve The Nation With Integrity

The National Judicial Council (NJC) recently approved the appointments of eight new High Court judges for Oyo State, including Opayinka Adeniyi, Oyediran Oloyede, Oladejo Olusoji, Oluwaseun Ademola-Salami, Adesina Jimoh, Yemi Adekunle, Olutola Adepoju, and Olayemi Muraina.

Lawal advised the new judges to approach their roles as a service to the nation and emphasized the importance of upholding the integrity of the judiciary through impartial and fair justice. He also highlighted that their appointments would significantly contribute to expediting the judicial process, thus helping to reduce the backlog of cases.

“It is a relief to see these appointments finally take place. Their addition to the judiciary will greatly help alleviate the delay in case assignments and reduce the time waiting for adjudication,” Lawal stated. He added that before these appointments, many cases experienced long delays in getting assigned to judges, a gap the new judges are now set to fill.
