They Must Be Deaf or Blind!” – Babachir Lawal Blasts Tinubu’s Loyalists in Fiery Rant

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has taken a swipe at President Bola Tinubu’s supporters, accusing them of turning a blind eye to the escalating insecurity and deepening economic crisis gripping the nation.

During an appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Wednesday, Lawal lambasted the Tinubu administration’s approach to security, arguing that rather than improving, the situation has worsened significantly since the President took office.

He noted that insecurity had now spread to areas previously considered safe, and accused the government of inaction.

“I believe his supporters must either be blind or have cotton wool in their ears,” Lawal said. “Insecurity has not only remained under Tinubu, it has expanded into regions it never affected before. The government has done nothing to address it.”

Lawal didn’t hold back on the state of the economy either, describing it as having “completely collapsed.” According to him, poverty is on the rise, and even Nigerians who once felt financially secure are now under serious strain.

“We are all barely surviving on a hand-to-mouth basis. This government is spending money before it even reaches the country, and when it does, it’s wasted on intangible, invisible projects,” he asserted.

He accused the Tinubu administration of lacking any genuine economic plan, claiming its true intention appears to be to “run down” the country.

“Back then, he deceived many of us with false promises. But now that he’s in power, his actions show a clear intent to destroy both the economy and national security,” Lawal concluded.
