Troops Neutralize 12 Terrorists, Recover Weapons, Assets In Zamfara

The Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) achieved a significant victory on Friday, neutralizing 12 terrorists and recovering weapons and assets in Zamfara State…..READ ALSO 188 Terrorists Killed In Recent Assault By Nigerian Troops

According to Lt. Suleiman Omale, the information officer of OPHD, the operation took place in Babban Doka, Gobirawar Challi, and Kabaro axis under Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State. Troops engaged the terrorists in a heavy gun duel, displaying exceptional courage and overpowering the criminal elements.

During the operation, 12 terrorists were neutralized, while others fled with gunshot wounds. In a subsequent mop-up patrol, the gallant troops recovered significant weapons and assets, including an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, ammunition, locally made guns, and 18 cows. Additionally, 10 motorcycles belonging to the terrorists were recovered and destroyed on the spot.

Brigadier General S. Ahmed, the Commander of 1 Brigade and Sector 1 OPHD, commended the resilience and gallantry displayed by the troops. He urged them to maintain momentum until normalcy is fully restored in the region.
