on Monday, which left at least seven people dead—including police officers and civilians—Ejiofor called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to take immediate action.
Describing the recent violence as a glaring sign of the state’s vulnerability, Ejiofor urged Soludo to shift focus from media narratives and confront the criminals who are pushing the state to the brink. “Anambra is under siege, and the loss of innocent lives in such brutal attacks is heart-wrenching. The time for words is over; it’s time for decisive action to protect our people,” he said.
Ejiofor emphasized that the criminals terrorizing Anambra are not external but are part of the community, shielded by local networks. He called for a united front—political, religious, and community leaders working together to eradicate the threat.
“In this dire situation, the security forces alone cannot handle the crisis. Every Anambra citizen must take responsibility and stand together against this growing menace,” he urged. The IPOB lawyer also criticized the current political compromises that allow such violence to continue unchecked, stating that Anambra cannot afford to be a safe haven for criminal elements.
As the year draws to a close, Ejiofor’s message is clear: The time to act is now. Unity and collective action are essential to reclaim Anambra from the grip of terror and restore peace and security to the state.
