ALBERTA RURAL RENEWAL STREAM PROVINCIAL NOMINATION PROGRAM

The province of Alberta is located in Western Canada, originally seen as oil and gas industry supported, has  over the past few years diversified its economy to now include a renewable energy, IT, Trades and  Hospitality to name a few.

Just over 5,900 spaces have been allocated to Alberta this year for Permanent Residency through the  provincial nomination program by Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada.

Last May the province introduced the Rural Renewal Stream (RRS) to entice foreign nationals, looking to  permanently immigrate to Canada, to consider smaller communities for settlement instead of the big-3  Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. These towns and cities have populations less than 100,000; where cost  of living is more affordable and jobs are more readily available. Since all PNP’s are economically driven,  each designated town and city posts its open job listings looking to recruit employees (on selected job board recruitment sites). The designated communities will then offer a letter of support once the foreign  national receives a valid job offer. The communities hope to retain and grow their populations through this  program. New communities are added to the list frequently, as recently as last month so it is important to  be proactive when reviewing their community recruitment boards.

If you would like to find out more about which communities in Alberta are participating in the Rural Renewal  Stream program and what the programs requirements are, please schedule your paid consultation at the  contact information listed below.
