Woman Allegedly St@bs Banker Boyfriend To De@th After He Says He’d “Met Someone Else

A 51-year-old woman, Joanna Cierpka, is standing trial at the Old Bailey in London over the alleged killing of her 52-year-old partner, Danish banker Henrik Slotsaa.

According to prosecutors, Slotsaa, who worked at Citibank’s Canary Wharf office, had told Cierpka that he had met another woman at work before he was allegedly attacked at their London home.

The court heard that Slotsaa was found dead in the couple’s bedroom on March 15 after police forced their way into the property following concerns about his welfare.

Prosecutors allege that Slotsaa sustained multiple stab wounds, including injuries to his neck, while cuts found on his hands were described as defensive injuries.

The court was also told that his body had remained in the bedroom for several days before it was discovered by police.

Cierpka was reportedly found injured at the property and taken to hospital for treatment. While receiving medical attention, she allegedly wrote and signed a note stating, “I killed my partner.”

However, Cierpka denies the charge of murder. She has admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, meaning her defence is challenging the level of criminal responsibility rather than denying that she caused her partner’s death.

The trial at the Old Bailey is ongoing.
