Peter Okoye Breaks Silence On P-Square Split: “It’s Time To Tell My Own Truth

Singer Peter Okoye has opened up about his decision to publicly address the issues surrounding the split of the renowned music duo, P-Square, saying fans deserve to understand what led to the group’s collapse.

Speaking during an interview with Capital XTRA, Peter explained that he had initially chosen to remain silent in the hope that those involved would eventually acknowledge what he believed were wrongs committed against him and that circumstances would change.

According to the singer, however, the situation continued to deteriorate, eventually prompting him to break his silence and share his own account of events.

“These guys have been speaking. Now it’s time to speak my own truth,” Peter said.

The singer stressed that his decision was not motivated by a desire to win public sympathy or influence public opinion.

Rather, he said he felt compelled to speak because of the millions of fans who supported P-Square and deserved clarity on the circumstances surrounding the group’s split.

Peter maintained that his intention was to ensure that fans understood what happened to the music duo rather than seek public validation.

“Not that I wanted the public opinion. I don’t want the public opinion. But just that I feel like the fans of P-Square need justice for what happened to their P-Square,” he said.

His comments add to the ongoing public conversation surrounding the strained relationship between the Okoye brothers and the events that have repeatedly affected the future of P-Square.
