In a statement signed by Abure and the party’s National Secretary, Alhaji Farouk Ibrahim, the Labour Party strongly warned the public against recognizing or working with Eragbe in any official capacity, as he no longer holds the position.

The statement highlighted that recent publications erroneously referred to Eragbe as the current National Youth Leader, a claim the Labour Party refuted. “We wish to inform the public that Comrade Anslem Eragbe ceased to be the National Youth Leader of the Labour Party as of 2023. We advise all parties to cease dealing with him as the official Youth Leader,” the statement read.

Furthermore, the Labour Party formally introduced Prince Kennedy Ahanotu, urging the public to engage with him on all youth-related matters concerning the party. “We respectfully request that you engage with Prince Kennedy Ahanotu in all matters concerning our party’s youth affairs.”

This move signals a clear step in consolidating leadership within the party and addressing internal conflicts.
