FG Warns Applicants As Fake CDCFIB Recruitment Postponement Notice Surfaces

According to IReporter Online, the ministry described the document, titled “CDCFIB Recruitment Update” and dated August 11, 2026, as fake, unauthorised and fraudulent.

The ministry said the statement was falsely attributed to the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, stressing that neither the minister’s office nor the CDCFIB authorised or issued the document.

In a statement released on Thursday, the ministry made it clear that the minister did not sign or approve the purported announcement.

It also dismissed claims in the fake document suggesting that financial constraints had forced the Federal Government to suspend the recruitment exercise until after the 2027 elections.

The ministry stressed that no decision had been taken to postpone the recruitment and confirmed that the exercise remains ongoing.

The clarification is expected to ease concerns among thousands of applicants who may have been alarmed by the widely circulated postponement notice.

The Interior Ministry urged applicants and members of the public to disregard the fraudulent document and rely exclusively on information published through the ministry’s verified platforms and official CDCFIB communication channels.

Applicants were also advised to obtain recruitment updates directly from the official CDCFIB recruitment portal rather than relying on information circulated through social media, messaging applications or unofficial platforms.

The statement was electronically signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr Magdalene Ajani.

The ministry further warned applicants to remain vigilant, noting that misleading documents and unverified information relating to the recruitment exercise could continue to circulate online.

It reiterated that only announcements issued through the ministry’s official channels and verified CDCFIB platforms should be regarded as authentic.
