JUST IN: FG Declares Another Public Holiday
The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, 27th September 2023 as a public holiday.
In celebration of the Eid-ul-Maulid, which marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has conveyed his warm wishes.

Speaking in Abuja on Monday, he extended his congratulations to all Muslim faithful, both within Nigeria and across the diaspora, on this year’s occasion.
“The Minister, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, encourages Nigerians, especially our youth, to adopt the values of diligence and a harmonious attitude towards fellow human beings, regardless of their faith, beliefs, social standing, or ethnicity. He calls on them to join hands with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in its quest to construct a progressive and admirable nation that all citizens can take pride in. The Minister extends heartfelt wishes for a joyous celebration to all Muslim faithful,” stated the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Oluwatoyin Akinlade.
