Nigeria Has The Lowest Electricity Rates In Africa? The Minister’s Bold Claim Sparks Outrage!

Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has affirmed that Nigeria continues to offer the cheapest electricity rates compared to other African countries. Speaking during a meeting with the Secretary of the Lottery Trust Fund, Tosin Adeyanju, on Thursday, October 3, in Abuja, Adelabu highlighted Nigeria’s favorable electricity pricing amid global challenges.

Addressing the broader concerns facing nations, Adelabu stated, “Globally, we are grappling with two key issues: food security and energy security.” He emphasized that despite these challenges, Nigeria maintains the lowest electricity rates on the continent.

He further urged Nigerians to exercise patience, assuring them that the government is working in their best interest. “With time, Nigerians will see that the government’s intentions are focused on their welfare,” he added.
