NPFL News: Nasarawa United’s Anas Yusuf Earns Top Striker Nomination, Kun Khalifat FC Strengthen Squad With New Signing

Yusuf, who has continued his strong form this season with six goals, will compete for the accolade against Atalanta and Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen. Last year, Lookman won the award and later claimed the 2024 African Best Player of the Year title.

In other league developments, Kun Khalifat FC have strengthened their squad with the signing of striker Obari Israel from non-league side Acquire FC. The Owerri-based club, currently 19th in the NPFL with 17 points, described the acquisition as part of a broader effort to boost their attacking options ahead of the mid-season phase.
