Led by CSP Victor Godfrey, operatives from the Utako police division coordinated a successful raid at Tudun-Wada Lugbe and Pyakasa areas of Trademore, culminating in the arrest of the suspects.

The arrested individuals include Usman Muazu, Aliyu Mohammed, Awwal Dahiru, Rabi Sani, Madina Abubakar, Jonah Elimelech, Saminu Idris, and Mariji Iliya, all linked to high-profile kidnapping cases in the FCT and its environs. CP Benneth Igweh, the FCT police commissioner, affirmed that the suspects have confessed to their crimes and are providing valuable information for further investigations.

In addition to the recovered ransom, the police seized weapons, including knives and cutlasses, bulletproof vests, and charms from the suspects. The successful raid also led to the arrest of 79 other individuals during operations targeting various black spots in the FCT. Igweh emphasized that the crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to combat crime in the region, with suspects undergoing interrogation pending possible court charges.
