In a statement released by Mohammed Abubakar, son of Prince Audu, the family clarified that their residence in Ogbonocha, Ofu Local Government Area of the state, is strictly a private dwelling for family members and not intended to serve as a refuge for any political figure, past or present.

The statement emphasized the family’s commitment to honesty and integrity, echoing the principles embodied by Prince Abubakar Audu throughout his life.

The family urged the public to exercise caution and discernment when encountering such claims, dismissing them as baseless conjecture designed to sow confusion.

The denial comes amid reports of a siege by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Bello’s residence in Abuja over alleged involvement in an N80 billion fraud. Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi was reported to have visited Bello during the siege, prompting speculation about Bello’s whereabouts.
