to former President Goodluck Jonathan, discussed a past incident on a morning show where a former minister struggled to purchase land in Igbo land.
Abati’s comments, in which he claimed that the Igbo do not sell land to non-indigenes, sparked outrage in the South East, with many accusing him of ethnic bigotry. On Friday, Ejiofor took to his social media to recount a previous confrontation with Abati during a live interview, where he accused him of harboring a deep-seated hatred for the Igbo and their quest for freedom.
Ejiofor demanded that Arise TV owner, Nduka Obaigbena, force Abati to apologize publicly. He warned that if Abati refuses to apologize, the Igbo community should fully boycott all Arise TV content. “Reuben Abati must publicly apologize to Ndi Igbo, and if Nduka Obaigbena condones his Igbophobia, then it’s time for the Igbo to withdraw their support for Arise TV,” Ejiofor stated.
