Until his death, Hon. Paul represented Okura State Constituency in the 8th Kogi State Assembly. He had previously stepped down from his position as Deputy Speaker due to health concerns, with Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola, representing the Ibaji State Constituency, succeeding him.

Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased. In a statement shared by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed, the Speaker praised Hon. Paul for his humility, dedication, and unwavering commitment to Kogi State’s unity and progress.

Rt. Hon. Yusuf commended Paul’s focus on people-centered legislation that supported development and growth.
