Viral Video Shows Timaya Falling Mid-Performance During Fan Interaction

Nigerian singer Inetimi Alfred Odon, popularly known as Timaya, experienced a fall on stage while lifting a plus-sized fan during a performance. The incident occurred during his “Ukwu” set at the Gbaramatu Christmas Carnival in Delta State.

A video of the event, which has since gone viral on social media, shows Timaya losing his balance after the woman jumped on him midway through the performance. Despite the mishap, the singer quickly recovered and continued performing, earning cheers and applause from the audience.

In a separate development, singer Omawumi Megbele recently refuted claims made by Timaya regarding a past studio encounter with Burna Boy. Timaya had previously alleged that Burna Boy ordered Omawumi and Waje out of the studio after they doubted his prediction about eventually boarding a private jet.

Omawumi, speaking in an interview with Naija FM Lagos, denied that the incident ever occurred and expressed disappointment that Timaya had implicated her in such a story. She described the claim as damaging to her reputation and emphasized that she would not publicly expose the numerous awkward situations Timaya has been involved in, noting that some individuals use controversy to promote their music.
