Charly Boy Shares The Key To His 46-Year-Long Marriage

Veteran entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has attributed the longevity of his 46-year marriage to his ability to navigate the complexities of married life. According to reports, Charly Boy shared his thoughts in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday.

The singer and Nollywood actor revealed that while many perceive him as “stupidly in love,” maintaining a lasting marriage requires consistent effort and dedication. He admitted that there are times when he feels exhausted by the challenges of the union but emphasized the importance of persistence.

Charly Boy explained that no marriage is perfect from the start, stressing that successful relationships are built through hard work, commitment, and mutual cultivation. “No marriage is made in heaven. Marriage is fragile and can easily break. It is something built through effort, not just found,” he stated.

He further noted that his role as a “champion manager” in the relationship allows him to persevere even when he does not always feel motivated. “For us, we have decided to both die here. It takes effort,” he added, highlighting the dedication required to sustain their decades-long union.
