APC Leader Jesutega Onokpasa Urges Execution Of Simon Ekpa For His Crimes Against Igbos

was detained in Finland over suspected ties to terrorism.

The Finnish court reportedly linked Ekpa to the spread of separatist propaganda online, allegedly committing the offense in August 2021. The Finnish National Bureau of Investigation is also seeking the detention of other individuals involved in similar charges.

In an interview on Arise Television, Onokpasa, who heads the Tinubu Media Support Group, stated that Ekpa should face capital punishment due to his involvement in violent activities against his fellow Igbos in the Southeast. “If a person is an enemy combatant, they are liable to be shot for killing their own people,” Onokpasa said, fully backing Ekpa’s arrest.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Defence Headquarters has confirmed that plans are underway to seek Ekpa’s extradition from Finland to face charges in Nigeria, with the Chief of Defence Staff, General Chris Musa, welcoming the arrest as a positive step toward justice.
