DHQ Denies Acting COAS Appointment, Lagbaja Set To Return

Major General Abdulsalam Bagudu Ibrahim remains the Chief of Policy and Plans and has not been designated as acting COAS.

According to a statement from Director Defence Information, Tukur Gusau, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja is still the COAS and is on leave, during which Major General Ibrahim continues to provide routine briefings as per standard operating procedure.

The DHQ emphasized that Lieutenant General Lagbaja will resume his duties immediately after his leave and urged the public to disregard any unfounded rumors. It also advised media organizations to verify information before publishing to prevent the spread of misinformation.
