EFCC Executive Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, who presided over the handover in Jabi, Abuja, emphasized that the event reflects the Nigerian government’s dedication to fighting corruption and promoting good governance. It also demonstrates the administration’s commitment to stimulating the economy and showcasing that Nigeria is not a safe haven for financial crimes.

The handover was attended by various international officials, including Maria Higon Velasco, Acting Ambassador of Spain to Nigeria, who received $1,300 for a victim in Spain, and representatives from the U.S. and Swiss embassies, who received funds and Bitcoin on behalf of American and Swiss victims.
