Hanks Anuku Breaks Silence On Partner’s Death

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has revealed that the death of the mother of his children was one of the most painful experiences of his life, saying the tragedy left him emotionally devastated and prompted him to step away from acting for a period.

According to Ireporter Online, the actor made the emotional disclosure while giving a testimony at a church in Abuja, where he recounted how the loss of his partner affected his mental and emotional well-being. He explained that the couple had been planning to get married before her unexpected death.

Anuku said the heartbreaking experience pushed him into isolation as he struggled to cope with grief, adding that he deliberately withdrew from people and the pressures of everyday life while trying to process the loss.

Reflecting on the difficult period, the actor said he eventually found healing, deliverance and renewed purpose through his relationship with God. He expressed gratitude for what he described as divine intervention, stating that his spiritual journey transformed his life and helped him overcome the emotional burden he had carried for years.

The movie star also dismissed negative narratives that had circulated about him online, insisting that many of the reports did not reflect his true reality. He credited God for giving him another chance and guiding him onto a new path.

Speaking further, Anuku described his late partner as someone he deeply loved and intended to spend the rest of his life with. He admitted that accepting her death was one of the hardest challenges he had ever faced, saying the pain of losing her remained difficult to forget.

Despite the traumatic experience, the veteran actor expressed gratitude that his children are doing well and voiced optimism that, with God’s help, he will continue to recover and move forward one step at a time.

Anuku concluded by thanking God for His mercy, saying his faith has become the source of his strength and hope for a brighter future.
