Peter Obi Is Lazy, Can’t Even Find His Victory Card’ – Showunmi Blasts

According to Ireporter Online, Segun Showunmi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has criticized former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, labeling him as “lazy” in terms of strategic and structural political thinking.

Showunmi made the remarks during an appearance on Hard Copy, a political programme on Channels Television, which aired on Saturday. He argued that Obi’s decisions and political alignment have limited his potential for victory, suggesting that remaining in his former party, APGA, might have provided a clearer path to success.

“Peter Obi is not serious. He doesn’t know where his victory card is. He could have stayed in the Labour Party, and there could have been a clear path to victory for him,” Showunmi stated. He added that Obi’s movement between parties reflects a lack of strategic planning, noting that his alignment with other political figures may undermine his chances in party primaries.

Showunmi contrasted Obi with PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, praising Atiku’s long-standing institutional experience since 1992. He also questioned Obi’s insistence on personal loyalty within a new political setting, suggesting that such demands may not be well-received in party structures
