Following United’s lead, several other clubs have made managerial changes. Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Southampton have parted ways with Steve Cooper, Gary O’Neil, and Russell Martin, respectively. Leicester swiftly appointed Ruud van Nistelrooy as their new manager.

West Ham United has now joined the list of clubs making mid-season changes, sacking Julen Lopetegui despite hiring him just last summer. Lopetegui’s tenure included only seven wins in 22 games, one of which was a victory over Manchester United that contributed to Ten Hag’s dismissal.
