The insurgents, using motorcycles and gun trucks, attempted to ambush troops stationed in Sabon Gari village. However, a patrol team returning to base disrupted their plans, engaging the attackers in a fierce firefight.Maj. Gen. Buba reported that while six soldiers tragically lost their lives, the insurgents suffered significant losses, with 34 terrorists neutralized during the encounter.Reinforcements and Air SupportReinforcements comprising the Civilian Joint Task Force, vigilantes, and hybrid forces swiftly joined the battle, overcoming the terrorists despite encountering an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that injured the Vigilante Commander.Additionally, airstrikes by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai targeted fleeing insurgents. A battle damage assessment confirmed the elimination of 34 terrorists, along with the recovery of weapons, including 23 AK-47 rifles and over 200 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.Losses and Respect for Procedures

Maj. Gen. Buba noted that the names of the six fallen soldiers would be withheld until their next of kin were officially notified.
