Wike Settles Medical Bills for Those Affected by Abuja Truck Crash

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has taken immediate action following a truck accident in Karu, Abuja on March 19, 2025. The accident resulted in 17 casualties, with some suffering from severe burns, while others had minor injuries. Seven of the casualties were referred to the National Hospital, and one of the victims with third-degree burns passed away during treatment.

Wike also called on road users, particularly heavy-duty vehicle drivers, to adhere to traffic regulations to avoid similar incidents. He expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and emphasized that the accident was avoidable.

The Minister’s intervention reflects his ongoing commitment to the welfare of residents and his leadership in responding swiftly to emergencies in the capital.
