Odukwe’s decision to rejoin the PDP was announced during the party’s monthly meeting, where he was welcomed back by the local government chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji. Okonji emphasized the importance of patience and enduring commitment to the party, urging other members who had strayed to follow Odukwe’s example and return to the PDP fold.

Expressing gratitude for his acceptance back into the party, Odukwe pledged his loyalty and support to the PDP. Chairman Okonji assured all returnees that the party’s internal democracy would protect their interests, reaffirming that the PDP remains the dominant political force in Oshimili South.
