Delta Governor’s Aide Criticises Davido’s Wife Over ‘Half-Naked’ Grammys Look

According to Ireporter Online, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, Ossai Success, has criticised Chioma Adeleke, wife of Nigerian music star Davido, over her choice of outfit at the Grammy Awards.

The 68th Grammy Awards ceremony took place on Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where Davido was nominated in the category of Best African Music Performance. The singer attended the event alongside his wife, his elder sister Sharon Adeleke, and other associates.

Chioma, who was attending the prestigious awards ceremony for the first time, appeared in a sheer outfit that quickly drew mixed reactions and widespread debate across social media platforms.

Reacting via a post on his Facebook page, the governor’s aide expressed strong dissatisfaction with her appearance, describing the outfit as inappropriate for such a global platform. He argued that her dressing failed to reflect Nigerian cultural values and traditions.

Success further stated that, as a public figure admired by many young Nigerians, Chioma’s appearance could have a negative influence, particularly on young women who view her as a role model. He also faulted Davido for not offering better guidance, stressing that cultural representation on international stages remains important and should not be overlooked.
