Actor Uche Maduagwu Reveals He Was Paid N2.5 Million To Troll Davido On Social Media

According to Ireporter Online, controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has tendered a public apology to Afrobeats star Davido after admitting that he was financially induced to launch attacks against the singer and his family on social media.

Speaking during a recent interview, Maduagwu disclosed that he received N2.5 million to deliberately criticise and ridicule Davido online, despite having no personal grievance against the music star. He described his actions as deeply regrettable, stressing that Davido had never offended him in any way.

The actor further revealed that he was not acting alone, claiming that a group of about five social media influencers were allegedly paid to engage in coordinated online attacks against the award-winning artiste. He urged others involved in the scheme to speak out and take responsibility for their actions by offering sincere apologies.

Maduagwu said his decision to go public was driven by guilt, noting that his conscience could no longer allow him to remain silent. He admitted that the campaign against Davido and his family was wrong and expressed remorse for the damage caused, appealing to the singer for forgiveness.
