Betrayal And Backstabbing: Reno Omokri Reveals Shocking Reasons For Abandoning Atiku Abubakar

Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan from 2010 to 2015, has shared the reasons behind his decision to stop supporting former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Omokri, who had been a long-time ally of Atiku, now backs the current administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a political opponent of Atiku.

In an interview with Tribune, Omokri, also a pastor and social media influencer, explained that he severed ties with Atiku after the 2023 general election. He revealed that he helped Atiku set up his media team and brought in several capable members. However, some individuals turned out to be disloyal and backstabbing, which led to his disillusionment.

Omokri emphasized that loyalty must be mutual, saying, “When I am loyal to someone, it is 100% loyalty, and I expect the same in return.” Despite his loyalty, Atiku failed to take action to address the issue, prompting Omokri to make the decision to part ways. He mentioned that he had already decided to leave Atiku’s camp before the 2023 election, regardless of the outcome.

Omokri further explained that Atiku struggles to differentiate between loyalty and sycophancy, which he believes will continue to be a challenge for him. Despite this, Omokri acknowledged Atiku’s leadership potential, noting that Atiku is nearly on par with President Tinubu in terms of qualifications to lead Nigeria.
