Rewane explained that while Nigerians hope for lower inflation, historical trends suggest that inflation will remain elevated, with a gradual moderation towards 25%. He also projected that the Naira could appreciate to N1,550/$, based on dynamic equilibrium in the economy, stable oil prices, and rising cocoa prices.

Looking ahead, Rewane stressed the importance of power sector reforms to drive economic growth, suggesting that such changes could push the growth rate to 6% or even 7%. He expressed doubts about achieving the ambitious goal of a $1 trillion economy by 2030, citing the need for reforms in both physical and institutional infrastructure to ensure sustainable development.

Rewane concluded that while growth is possible, Nigeria must take swift action, particularly in power sector reforms, to avoid stagnation and ensure a brighter economic future in 2025.
