Naira Vs Dollar: See Today’s Exchange Rate For July 11, 2026
According to Ireporter Online, the United States dollar traded at ₦1,425 in the parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market or Aboki FX market, on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Information obtained from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos indicated that the dollar was sold at ₦1,425 and bought at ₦1,410, reflecting the prevailing exchange rates in the unofficial foreign exchange market.
The report noted that exchange rates in the parallel market are subject to constant fluctuations and may differ across locations and dealers, meaning the actual buying or selling price could vary from the quoted figures.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has continued to distance itself from transactions conducted in the parallel market. The apex bank maintains that it does not recognize the black market for foreign exchange trading and has consistently advised individuals and businesses seeking forex transactions to obtain foreign currency through authorized commercial banks and other approved financial institutions.
For the official market, CBN data showed that the highest exchange rate for the dollar stood at ₦1,382, while the lowest rate was recorded at ₦1,375 on the same day.
