I Didn’t Give Up” – Francis Duru Reveals Life After Son’s Funeral

According to Ireporter Online, the actor revealed that although the loss brought him immense emotional pain, he decided not to withdraw from his duties or abandon the activities that have remained part of his everyday life.

Duru made the disclosure during an interview with Signature TV, where he explained that his career extends beyond acting, as he is also involved in theatre, consultancy work and teaching responsibilities at his church’s Sunday school.

The respected actor said he remained committed to his obligations even after laying his son to rest, noting that he attended church the following day and continued with his assigned duties despite the difficult period.

He explained that staying active and fulfilling his responsibilities helped him navigate the painful experience, stressing that his life involves several areas beyond filmmaking.

Duru noted that he continues to contribute through different professional engagements while maintaining his commitment to his various roles in society.

“I have never been quiet. The Saturday they buried my son, on Sunday I was in church doing what I was supposed to do. Yes, trauma and all that have been there, but I have never been quiet,” he said.

The actor added that his activities go beyond movies, as he continues to participate in theatre productions, consultancy services and educational commitments.
