According to Ireporter Online, the clergyman, while speaking during a sermon in a video that has gone viral, described dinner dates as an opportunity for couples to get to know each other better rather than an avenue to satisfy hunger.

Apostle Suleman advised women to avoid approaching dinner dates with the mindset of getting free meals, warning against ordering takeaway food during such outings.

“Going out on a dinner date is a platform for familiarisation. It’s not a cure for starvation. What are you doing carrying takeaway? Don’t you have respect for yourself?” he stated.

The cleric further encouraged women to eat before leaving home and ensure they have enough money to cover their expenses in situations where the man may not pay the bill.

He also advised men to be realistic when choosing restaurants for dinner dates, urging them not to invite someone to a place they cannot afford.

According to him, it is inappropriate for a man to complain about prices after selecting an expensive location for the outing.

“Eat very well from home. Have money in your bag to order what you can pay for in case he doesn’t pay. And you as a brother, don’t take someone on a dinner date to a place you know you can’t afford,” Suleman said.
