The All Progressives Congress (APC) has completed the upload of its Presidential, Vice Presidential, Senate, and House of Representatives candidates for the 2027 general elections ahead of the deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to Ireporter Online, the ruling party submitted the details of its candidates through the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP), marking the completion of the nomination process for key elective positions.

The APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, confirmed the development in a statement shared on his official account, revealing that the party successfully uploaded a total of 471 candidates who will contest under the APC platform.

Yilwatda congratulated the party’s candidates, leaders, and members over the achievement, describing the successful submission as a major step towards the 2027 elections.

He stated that the party would now focus on mobilising supporters, strengthening its structures, and preparing for what he described as a successful campaign ahead of the polls.

“With this milestone achieved, our focus now shifts to mobilisation and preparations for a successful campaign and decisive victory at the polls,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the APC chairman has expressed optimism that President Bola Tinubu will secure a convincing victory in the 2027 presidential election, citing the party’s nationwide support base as a major advantage.

According to him, the APC already has millions of committed members whose votes would provide a strong foundation for the President’s re-election bid.

Yilwatda made the remarks in Abuja during the formal submission of nomination forms for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as the party’s candidates for the 2027 presidential contest.

He added that the support shown during the APC presidential primary election, alongside the impact of government programmes and projects, would further strengthen the party’s chances at the polls.
