The management and legal representatives of Nigerian dancer and hypeman Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, have addressed reports surrounding his recent arrest in the United Kingdom.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the team confirmed that the matter is currently before a UK court and urged the public and media to allow the legal process to take its course.

The management specifically dismissed reports linking the case to alleged drink spiking, stating that such a claim does not form part of the allegations or charges currently before the court.

According to the statement, the circulation of unverified information could create a misleading impression about the ongoing proceedings and unfairly influence public perception of the case.

Poco Lee’s legal representatives also reminded members of the public that allegations do not amount to a conviction, stressing that the dancer remains entitled to a fair hearing and due process.

The team therefore appealed to media organisations, social media users and other members of the public to exercise restraint and avoid publishing or sharing claims that have not been verified through official legal channels.

They maintained that the matter should be determined by the appropriate court rather than through social media commentary or public opinion.

The statement further emphasised that every individual facing allegations is entitled to have their case determined according to the law, urging the public to respect that principle in Poco Lee’s case.
