Naira Vs Dollar: Latest Exchange Rate For July 13, 2026
The Nigerian currency continued to trade against the United States dollar in the parallel market, with the latest figures indicating fresh exchange rates across major Bureau De Change (BDC) hubs in Lagos.
According to Ireporter Online, the dollar exchanged at an average selling rate of ₦1,425 and a buying rate of ₦1,410 in the black market on Sunday, July 12, 2026. These rates reflect transactions within the parallel market, commonly referred to as the Aboki FX market, where foreign exchange is traded outside the official banking system.
Available market data also showed that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) recorded the dollar at a highest official exchange rate of ₦1,382 and a lowest rate of ₦1,375.
The apex bank has consistently maintained that it does not recognize the parallel market for foreign exchange transactions. Instead, the CBN has advised individuals and businesses seeking foreign currency to obtain it through authorized financial institutions and official banking channels.
Market observers also noted that exchange rates in the parallel market remain subject to fluctuations depending on location, demand, and the volume of available foreign currency. As a result, the actual rates at which buyers and sellers complete transactions may differ slightly from prevailing market quotations.
